Can a pre-teen son who saw a fire could ask their mom if he could go and pull the fire alarm? Could he ask his mother go with him to help him if necessary? If the handle did not go down the first time if it wasn't pulled hard enough due to stress could the mother pull the handle with her son a second time to make sure the handle stays down even if the son was smart and he needed some help to make sure it works.Would the son read the directions again to be sure he did not forget anything or could the mom help their son with keeping his balance if he has to break the glass. What would the mother say when the son is pulling the handle or breaking the glass?

Why do you think they put fire alarms in buildings, anyway? They aren't there for decoration. They're for alerting people to a fire. And if a kid needs emotional support to pull a lever, they need serious help.
