Can a pregnant woman, soak her feet in hot water for swollen feet?

Is it o.k. that I soak my feet in hot water at 5 1/2 months?

  3. It's fine... you don't want to submerge your body in hot water as it can raise your body temperature... but really that's just being cautious.  

  4. Yes, though for swelling, cool water would work better.

    However, if you want to soak your feet in hot water, you can. The rules about hot tubs are to keep you from bringing your core temperature up. I took more baths when I was pregnant than at any other time in my life, and I just made sure I didn't break a sweat or get overheated.  

  5. I don't see what the problem is. It is your feet. It is different if you said can I sit in a tub of water. But even then, that is not a problem. Soak soak soak... it will do no harm to the baby or you. By the way, congratulations and start worrying about more important things while soaking your feet and quit talking to people who don't know what they're talking about....bye

  9. yes it is fine just no aggressive massaging since it is the massaging that causes early labor. you can go get a pedicure also just tell then to hold the massage. you are just fine. i got very hot spa pedicures all through both pregnancys just holding the massage.  

  10. Yeah it is fine, probably feels good to I bet.  Make sure you are also watching your sodium intake and laying down on your side too and drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated.
