Can a prepaid mastercard be used overseas?

I am a american and soon to be traveling overseas to the philippines. I wanted to know can a prepaid masters card be used overseas? Can I draw money out of a ATM machine in the philippines with my mastercard? if so will it automatically convert USD to PHP? Thank you

You can use it in any ATM here and in any store that accepts Mastercard.

It is a basic requirement to have if you have an account at a bank here.

My husband is from Illinois and he likes it better than bank transfers, it only costs about $3.00 as opposed to a $62.00 bank transfer.

Maybe and maybe.

If a prepaid Mastercard or a prepaid visa card works in an atm or at merchant outside of the U.S. it is up to the prepaid company.   Some do, some do not.    Call the prepaid company first to find out.
