  1. Of course they can.  Roy Jones ALMOST did it.

  2. Not exactly, the WBC did this with Floyd Mayweather-Oscar De La Hoya fight, because after the fight Floyd had to choose which title he wanted to hold Welter or Super Welter, because for that Belt organization and many others a champion at a certain weight class cannot hold another title of that organization at a different weight class. But it is a possibility, because if a fighter holds different sactioning bodies belts at two different weight classes he is forced to fight at both weight classes, not an easy feat since to fight at a world title caliaber you have to be in peak condition. So while possible, don't expect it to happen. Another side question that would be asked is why division climbers (like Mayweather) who have won titles at lower weight classes still allowed to carry them. Mayweather is allowed to carry the titles because nobody beat him for them so while he isn't the reigning champ he is still a champ.

  3. No once a fighter has won a belt a higher weight class he is left with the option to keep either weights belt he or she can not hold them  together. Floyd Mayweather Jr. was given the option to pick either the 154 or 147 lb belt he could not keep them both. The last fighter to do that was Sugar Ray Leonard but even he had to decide. Henry Armstrong held three different weight class belts and was the only one to defend those belts althrough he gave up the featherweight belt without a defense.

  4. The great Henry Armstrong accomplished something in 1938 that has never been equaled.  He was already the featherweight champion (beat Patsy Sarron in 37 for the title) moved up in weight and challenged welterweight champ Barney Ross for the title and won  by unanimous decision.  He then dropped weight and challenged lightweight champ Lou Ambers for the title and defeated him by unanimous decision thus simultaneously holding titles at three different weight classes.  Shortly after this great feat, Armstrong decided he could no longer make the featherweight limit so he gave up that tittle.

  5. Yes they can.

Sugar Ray Leonard won both the Light Heavyweight belt AND the Super Middleweight belt when he TKO'd Donny Lalonde and he did this while holding the Middleweight belt!

Holding belts in different weight classes is usually very short lived because the commissions will emphasize their mandatory defenses and it is very tough to keep moving up and down in weight in order to successfully defend the belts in different weight classes.

So while a fighter may accomplish this, they would keep one belt and relinquish the others. That's one reason why there are "vacant" belts.

  6. yep floyd mayweather jr. 6 division title belts

  7. lol no you cant hold a bet in different weight classes cause if your holding the belt that means that you have to defend the belt so you being in heavyweight and holding a heayweight title belt at the same time as holding a middleweight belt you have to lose the weight to defend the belt i mean im sure its possible but i dont know anybody who has done it
