So, my little sister (7) is starting second grade tomorrow, so naturally we went shopping for school supplies about a month ago. However, we didn't read the fine print on the list, where it states that no cartoon characters, or any kind for that matter, are allowed to be printed in the supplies.

We bought supplies with the following Disney characters:

TinkerBell

High School Musical (Ashely Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron)

Camp Rock (Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato)

and we just wanted to know if a public school is allowed to do this.

It isn't banned in Middle or high schools, so why would they be allowed to this in Elementary PUBLIC schools?

  1. technically I think theyre allowed to put whatever bans they want to in place, however stupid they are. but they might have done this so that the supplies dont distract students or cause fights over who likes what. i personally think its stupid, but what can you do?

  2. the schools probably think they're a distraction to the learning process or tinker bell is too revealing i mean have you seen that short skirt lol
