Can a punchbag break?

How hard would you have to punch a punchbag for it to break xx

no but if its very old like 15 and you punch it hard enough then it can falland maby ripe open

Well, someone very strong would have to be able to break the bag. The metal things holding it up on the ceiling might break, only from swinging around so much. But you won't be able to break one, if that is your goal.

A chain is only as strong as it's weekest link. Good sumation. If you're using a good quality joist hanger..........See titleboxing.com ...... the chain is strong and the d-rings and stitching are all sound, then, NO, it shouldn't fall or break. As far as tearing through the leather/canvas/vinyl with a punch...............Don't believe you have to worry. A well hung bag, using the right hardwear, should be very safe.

punch  away   and  see  if  you  can  break  it.

I'm so clumsy I could break an anvil, If an anvil can break I'm sure a punching bag could too. But by all means punch away until it does, and if it does go buy a new one, and if it doesnt punch until you cant punch no more.

Er.. I dont think you could break the bag, but you could rip it.

Punching it probably wont break it, because they were built to take it.

You might pull it off the celing if it swings really far, because you hit it really hard though.

So yeah. =) =)

they can break,

bad securing. somethink rubbing on straps or the bag, poor maintenence, damp or very heavy use over time will cause the bag to break or straps/fittings. but they are extremly strong. since you will be hitting them with boxing gloves, you will have no chance of breaking it. if there was we wouldnt have had the same bag for 9 years now. lol and it gets some serious use.

i think your ceiling will break befor the bag. lol
