  1. Of course you can! Cavys love to have something soft to snuggle up to. Mine are bedded on fleece at the top of their cage and hay.shavings at the bottom. They each have a soft 'cuddle cup' which is a little like a cat bed but smaller. They also have soft fleece like cushions that they sleep on. They love it so much that they lie down flat with their little legs sticking out!

Have a look at this link

I bought my two cozy cups from here and they are amazing! You can even choose your own fabric.

  2. yeah, but youll find yourself going through about 3 towels a day!

I have 8 guinea pigs and i only use towels when the

one is close to haveing babys because the babys cannot be around bedding untill they are about 2-3 days old.

I would say keep doing what your doing.

Btw, i have 3 guinea pigs for sale in the Ohio area..

anyone who wants one can email :D

  3. I've never owned a cavy, but I know a lot about guinea pigs and hamsters. It's totally okay to put something warm for them to sleep on, but you want to make sure A)They're not chewing on it, and B) there are no loose threads or holes in whatever you give them that they could get caught in.

It would be safer not to, but it's up to you.

  4. Perfectly OK, as long as you know its likely to get chewed. I bought mine some of the fleecy beds, I think they ate them more than they slept in them!
