  1. Sure, if you own it outright. Almost anything in the world can be donated to charity.

    You'd better check with the charity you have in mind and make sure they actually want the unit before you begin to sign it over to them. They may prefer *not* to accept a gift that would require them to pay taxes and maintenance fees!
