  1. yes they can, if you give them a papaya supplement once a day that helps prevent them

  2. Yes, it's called 'wool block', but rabbits can not cough them up like cats do.  It's very important because of this to feed them a high fiber diet with free-choice timothy hay, and also to brush them daily so there is less loose hair to ingest.  If a rabbit does develop a hairball large enough that it can't pass through the digestive system, it generally requires a very expensive surgery to remove it.  If brushed daily and fed a proper diet including unlimited hay, a good quality pelleted food, and appropriate amounts of veggies, it would be extremely unusual for a rabbit to develop wool block.

  3. Yes but you can buy some medication for it at the pet store

  4. Yes they do, but rabbits can't vomit them up like cats can.

  5. NO, not in the way a cat does.Like horses, rabbits do not have a reflex that allows them to throw up in any way. That means that anything they swallow must go completely through the digestive tract or be stuck. So a lot of hair can be caught in their digestive tract. This is why it is important to 1) not let your rabbit eat weird things and 2) groom itself too much. Even short-haired rabbits need to be groomed, especially when they shed ( which they do, sometimes several times a year).

  6. Yes but they cannot cough them up like a cat so you need to give them plenty of exercise and fiber i.e. hay so it can pass through their digestive tract easier. And groom them frequently to prevent blockage.
