  1. I personally owned a 2002 Ford Range 3.0L V6 2 wheel drive with a manual transmission and I towed my 19 foot Stingray (close to 2000 lbs.) boat through East Tennessee (lots of hills).  It goes without saying that braking and acceleration take a lot longer than without a boat behind you.  You MUST anticipate stopping!  I'm not sure how it would do with an automatic transmission.  Just take it easy on boat ramps as it will easially spin on the ramp.

  2. Yes, but it will pull it but it'll put a strain on your drivetrain.  Over time and miles, you could be asking for repair bills.

  3. I pull a 17' with my '88 Ranger with the 2.9, auto trans. No problems at all. I do not use overdrive, and rarely exceed 60 mph.

  4. Yes it will pull it with no problem. As with any kind of a trailor, just use your head and you will be fine.

  5. maybe, but not with anything to spare.
