Last year, I got married to a resident alien living in USA for over 20 years. He applied for the American Citizenship on his own but he went for fingerprints, the records show he has 4 cases from 1992 that had not been dismissed in Court. He was never been convicted of any crime but I heard with the new imigration laws that he might get deported for these cases and I wanted to know if it is true?. He has an interview next thursday and even though we have a lawyer who said it shoudl not been an issue, I still have my doubts. HELP PLEASE!!!

  1. I agree with Taylor.  There's no way to give an informed answer here anyway, there's no information being given.  4 cases of what?  What were the charges?  Why are they not dismissed?  Did he just not show up for court?  Is he a fugitive on these cases?  Has he not been convicted because he didn't show up?

  2. Trust your lawyer. He/she is way more educated than anyone you'll find on this site, because of training and also because I'm 99% sure you didn't give enough info, which wouldn't be a good idea anyway. Hope this helps!
