Can a restaurant advertise as being "world famous" when they're only located locally in one town?

  1. Sure why not? and if i ever go there i might wear my world famou hair tie, bring me world famous wallet, and leave a world infamous tip   j/k:)


  2. They seem to.. I guess it's because people come to the area and eat that particular item. or whatever makes them famous

  3. Any restaurant can use "world famous". It doesn't matter even if its located in the middle of Montana and was just built. Anybody can put it up.

  4. Just because there's only one restaurant doesn't mean it isn't widely known.  And some restaurants just use that to try to convey how good their food is.  It's not illegal or anything.
