Can a shih tzu mate with a shepard?

i have a male shih tzu about 9 years old (never nuetered) and now have a 4 month old australian shepard/chocolate lab mix who is showing signs of pregnancy. Is it possible for them to mate and have pups?

Although your puppy seems awfully young.  Ask your vet.  Shame on you for having them around each other.

And get your animals fixed.  There is no reason to have an intact male if you're not a well-informed breeder.  Your dog may live a shorter and less fulfilled life because of the fact that he is not neutered.  Get both of your animals fixed ASAP.

I know where you are coming from.  How did such a little fella...ahem...do such a a big girl.  Yes, it is possible because they will find a way to complete what nature and their instincts comel them to complete.  The only question I have is that the Aussie Shepherd is only four months old.  I didn't think they were ready at that time.

yes they can but no your other dog isnt pregnant. its impossible for a 4 month old puppy [key word puppy] to be pregnant. its like an 7 yrs old getting pregnant. no heat, no pups. simple as that.

Any breed can mate with any other breed.

I highly doubt a 4 month old puppy is pregnant tho.  Dogs dont ussually hit their first heat cycle until at least 6 months of age or later.

Its possible for a dog to come into heat as early as 4 months, but not very likely..  but you'd know that she was in heat..  her v***a swells and she has a bloody discharge.  This lasts for about 3 weeks.

If she really is pregnant.  This is dangerous for her, its like a 10 year old girl getting pregnant!  I reccommend you take her to a vet to confirm this, and arrange for a spay ASAP.
