  1. I knew plenty of CNA's that were single parents.  It won't be easy and you won't be living the high life but yes it is possible and manageable.  Try to get bargains everywhere you can ie. use coupons, shop at thrift stores etc.  Try researching around your area also to see if there  are any other facilities that may be paying higher.  Depending on the area there could be a sufficient pay difference.  Good luck!

  2. I was an stna taking care of my daughter by myself sure it's rough, but you can do it.

  3. It depends on the cost of living in your area.  However I believe it can be done, where I live it would be easy for 2 people to live on a CNA's salary.  I suggest adding up all bills (include rent, food, electric and everything, even if you dont have rent yet, just take the average from your area.) and then take how much a CNA makes in your area and figure out the montly costs.  Heres a link to how much they make on average.  Its about $14/hr which is very good.

  4. I know two single moms who are CNA's and they are both living in their own apartments but are on government assistance (medical, childcare, etc) so I'm going to say no. You could survive of course but it's not a great enough paying job to be supporting yourself and your child comfortably on your own and I think that's what you were asking. If you're considering school I'd go for something else.

  5. That depends! What is a CNA?
