  1. Yes there is no problem adopting when single.  You still go through the homevisits and everything like couples and I know of many single woman who have adopted recently.


  2. Yes. And good for those who do...kids would rather have one loving parent than none at all.

YES.  I am single and adopted my son in 2005.  He was born in Guatemala.  A single person has to go through the same hoops as a couple would, but it is a little harder in a sense that they have to prove that they can handle everything alone.  For a couple, it's still a trying process, but includes more paperwork.

    By the way, it was the best decision I've ever made.

  9. Yes!  Many things factor in to adoption, not just your marital status.  Your career, income, lifestyle, other family members, and overall stability all come in to play.  Good Luck.
