I am asking because I don't want to live with my parents anymore but once I finish my bachelors degree, I want to go to medical school and live on my own at the same time.

  1. Yes, you can.  Particularly if you get accepted into a medical school that is out-of-state.  Unless, your parents are willing to support you financially, you will need to take out a student loan for medical school which can be large (over $100000).  Working during medical school is possible during your first two years which are usually your pre-clinical years but you will be studying like a madman.  It is nearly impossible to work during your clinical years.

  2. Most people do--are you living in the same area?  Just be aware that you cannot work while in med school--and there is a very short summer--it's year round, so you'll have to borrow a LOT of money.  If you can stand to live at home, you will be at the med school and/or their library about 14-16 hours a day, so maybe it would be worth it to save money.
