Can a sinus infection be contagious?

Yes it can be when there is discharge .If the person with sinusites sneezes and you are nearby that person then it can be contagious.Further if you use the material like handkerchief which has been used affected person which is not cleaned properly also can cause you infection.

But remember onething you cannot sustain sinusites with infection by person with sinusites you only suffer from common cold or rhinites and if it remains for longer period then only there are chances of you getting affected by sinusites,
