possibly. But problem is more likely in the telly.

IF you have the plasma's power cord plugged into the cable box's switched outlet .......YES.  

They are not designed to handle that much wattage....

But if you don't have it on the Switched outlet on the cable box, then you have a problem with the power supply or the

Y-Sus board which powers up the plasma panel....

I always recommend that ALL TV's be plugged directly into the wall socket or a surge suppressor ...AVOID plugging it directly into any cable box ....

Entirely possible, because my PC interferes with the signal to my colour portable in the bedroom.
