Can a solicitor go bankrupt?

If a solicitor can go bankrupt.... What happens to all the documents that the hold?... especially any will's?

  1. Yes, it is possible for a solicitor to go bankrupt, it doesn't happen very often and it shouldn't because they do charge quite a bit for their services; but it is possible. If they do go bankrupt, their files will either be passed on to another associate or to a different solicitor. Hope that is of some help!
