It depends. There are different kinds of signatures that can be required by the sender. If the sender specifies that he/she wants an adult signature than no. But if he/she does not require an adult signature than yes. In most cases adult signatures are not required. And not every package requires a signature either. To be honest, if there is no signature required, usually the UPS guy will get about halfway up your driveway and then slide the package up to your porch and take off.
