Can a standard .223 mag be modified slightly to fit a 6.5 grendel round??

  1. The follower is the most obvious difference.  It is 6.5 specific.  Although the dimensions for the magwell did not change, for the 6.5 vs the 5.56/.223 magazine, apparently there were feeding problems with converted 5.56/.223 mags and there are now 6.5 specific magazines.    


  2. The 6.8 Grendel is fired from a standard AR-15 lower receiver with the 6.5 special upper. The ammo does feed from modified AR-15 magazines; cartridge specific for the Grendel.

    I have noticed the 6.8 SCP mags have a different follower and the feed lips look to be also modified.
