  1. No.  Sterling Silver will not turn your finger green.  To make sure you are getting a good quality of silver, check inside the ring for a stamp that says .925.  Sterling Silver can tarnish and turn black, but it usually only does that while not wearing it.  Polish with silver jewelry polish or cleaner regularly to prevent that.  If you're not going to wear it for a while, you can store it in an air tight baggie to prevent oxidation, which causes the tarnish.  I wear a sterling silver ring daily, and with normal wear, it hasn't tarnished.

  2. Real sterling won't turn your finger green. If it's just silver-tone non-authentic sterling, most likely you will get the nasty green.

Always stick with the real metals. It's really easy to tell if a ring is made of fake metal.

  3. If it really is sterling silver, there should be no problem with it. A good way to tell if it doesn't say is the price. A real one will cost at least $12 or $13. And even if it is fake, the green spot will fade in a couple of days!

  4. No, real sterling silver won't turn your finger green.  However, since the silver has been made "sterling" by coating it with nickle, (or is that nickel?  I always get them mixed up, sorry) and a great many people are allergic to nickle/nickel, you may not be able to wear it.  Regular silver requires polishing to look good.  Sterling does not.

  5. sterling silver doesn't turn your fingers green.  I have a few rings and they don't because they are not that cheap metal its better quality.

  6. that only happens if ur acidity level in ur skin is higher ...and that is because of oxidation and not the jewelry itself, it was u that did it basically lol...if it is cheap and has nickel in it, which sterling sliver does sometimes or it may be other alloys, it can turn ur finger green...what ever the case, all u need is water and soap to wash it off and walla no green n e more...if it stays u just need awash it off again later that day...if ur allergic to it, it can turn u green...but again that can just be washed off easily...ud know if u were if u have earings if u ever question if u are allergic to silver lol....so again, even tho it is high quality and isnt fake, it can still turn ur finger green either because ur skin's acidity level and or oxidation with an alloy.

  7. no i don't think so. only fake ones do. my friend said that her ring was fake so it created a green line around her finger.
