Can a store in Canada force me to let them hold my bookbag when going into a store?

Thanks for your input, but if a store can not trust me with my bag, why should I trust their employees. I am a business man and the book bag is relpacing the briefcase. They should not have the right to assume I will steal something.

  3. As a matter of fact. no. They can't. Simply refuse to shop there. If you do not enter, then they cannot hold your bag.
