Can a student miss the first year of A-level and do the second?

yeah - if a student decided not to stay on at school and do a-level, but did something else for a year, would he be allowed to come back to school and do the second year of a-level?

  1. Nope in order t do A2 (the second year) you must complete the first year, theres no jumping the line.


  2. no - you need to do both years. You could do a crash course which is extremely difficult for some subjects

  3. not sure if this is exactly what you're asking buut-

    You have to take 2 years to do your A levels

    first year- AS level (one half of your A level)

    second year- A2 level (second half of your A level)

    if you only went for a year you woulf only be able to acheive AS levels, hope that helps

  4. The only way possible is if you test out of the 1st year. If you pass the finals for all 1st yr courses, then'll you'll be able to start at the 2nd yr.
