Ever since I become a vegetarian (2 and a half month ago) i've had a slight stuffy nose (sometimes unnoticable). I've never had allergies or anything. I'm I deficient in something? I try my best to get all type of protein and vitamins.

  1. Unless your eating just junk food it doesn't sound like a deficiency. Make a list of new foods you have been eating since becoming a vegetarian. I'm willing to bet your allergic to one of these. My guess would be soy since most meat eaters never ate soy before becoming a vegetarian. Skip it for a few days and see if your feeling better.

You may want to see your doctor too. Sinus infections often last 6 to 8 weeks, so the stuffyness may not even be diet related.

  2. Allergies are a far more likely explanation, and can develop at any point in your life.  I know of no nutritional deficiency which would cause a stuffy nose, nor is there any reason to expect that vegetarianism would lead to a nutritional deficiency.

  3. No, deficiences as a rule do not show themselves through itchy noses. Could be a new allergy or something like it, but might you have hay fever, or are sensitive to pollen or the like? Would time about right with summer coming into season, and can be sudden onset one summer with no symptoms from any previous summers.

Might be worth checking out by doctor or the like for peace of mind.

  4. No it means you have allergies.

Almost everyone has allergies and your stuff nose started right at the high point of most allergies.

  5. No it doesn't mean you are deficient. It means you have a cold or some other virus.

Most probably has nothing to do with your diet.

  6. that happens sometimes do you have air conditionsing?? my brother got air conditioning cold and he sniffs occasionaly ... if you are that worrried i would go see your doctor

write down your symptoms and look and notice when it acts up most keep a chart then it will be easier to diagnose
