Can a surround sound system meant for a PC be compatible with my TV? ?

I have a Logitech x-530 that i have as collateral, the guy never paid so I'm keeping it. its meant for a PC but i was wondering if it hooks up as a home theater? The TV is a 32'' Vizio.

  1. No it is not a good idea. PC systems should stay on the PC.

    You could rube goldberg a set of interconnect cables to make it work but your whole sound stage would be off.  


  2. Your TV probably doesn't have the necessary hookups for it. You could take the 3.5mm plugs and use an adapter to convert them to RCA connectors. You could then plug them into a gaming system, DVD player or home theater receiver that has analog outputs. I'm betting your TV only has stereo outputs so you would be just using two speakers out of the 5.1 system (pretty much a waste).
