Question:

Can a swiffer wet jet replace the old fashion mop?

For the passed year I've been using the swiffer wet jet for the kitchen and haven't used a mop (kitchen has new tiles). I'm finding it so much easier and less time consuming than rinsing a mop and filling a bucket. Do you think that the wet jet can keep your kitchen thoroughly clean without using a mop at all?

  1. No! The Wet Jet is fine for in between, but I think a good old fashioned mopping works best.

  2. I like using the Swiffer Wet Jet but on occasion will use a regular mop.  I feel a mop does a more thorough job but the swiffer is great for in between moppings.  And if you have pets make sure you keep them off the floor until it has thoroughly dried.  According to our vet the chemical is bad for pets.

  3. Wet jet is great & handy for a quick clean up. But you definitely still need to use a mop in between to REALLY clean up all the dirt. I used a swiffer for a month straight & when I finally cleaned my floor the old fashioned way (on my hands & knees) it was DIRRRRTY. Which surprised me because swiffer seemed to be working fine. SO I figure a combo is good.

  4. i haven't used a mop in years! MI have my wet jet for the kitchen because i need the though thick pads, then my regular swiffer which i use with the dry pads in between sweeping and i have wet pads that attatch as well. Once a week i sweep, dry swiffer, then spray my corners and base boards and seams where flooring connects with bleach spray and get on my hands and knees and clean all those areas then i swiffer the rest of the floor. My floors are NEVER dirty! Plus its so handy and easy, if anyone calls and says there headed over i ca put it out, sweep and mop up, and im done stat!!
