  1. depends on the meet. if u are supposed to stay in the water because of fly over starts than yes. but if ur not doing flyover starts than no.

  2. It's more of a sportsmanship issue.  Getting out of the pool before the other swimmers finish could be considered rude.

  3. No a swimmer cannot get dq unless they interfere with others swimming or go into someone elses lane, so no they cannot get dq it is just something that swimmers are taught at a very young age just to show respect.

  4. The only rule for exiting the pool (assuming you've finished your race) is that you do not interfere with any other swimmer.  That would mean that you stay within the confines of your lane markers and don't get in the way of a swimmer in another lane.  There is no courtesy rule, sportsmanship rule or any other rule for exiting the pool.

While on relays and when electronic timing is used, you must promptly exit the pool prior to the touch pad being re-activated (there is a 12-15 second time period after a relay touch that the pad is dead).

  5. Not as long as the swimmer stays in their own lane and does not interfere with the other swimmers who are still swimming.  He should also exit his lane at the end of the pool where he finished and not interfere with the judges or officials.

  6. I think so

    but don't no for sure

  7. Nope.  So long as they don't interfere with any other swimmers.
