Can a taser be used for hunting?

I don't mean is it legal. I mean, do you think it's possible to get close enough to an animal without scaring it away to be able to tazer it.

going by those jack links beef jerky commericals, you could probably get pretty close to sasquatch with beef jerky and taze him when he's not looking, but on the other hand if you didn't stun him, he would probably hit you pretty hard. hahahahaha

I have gotten close enough to coons to taze them but they are usually under cover or have something between us so I doubt I could hit them with both probes

I trap animals for a living getting that close to one is never good

They are either sick or not afraid of you, either way you are a target

There have been some cases of LEOs tazing animals and it has never turned out well

Some game wardens in the Everglades tazed a python and it just crapped all over them

A couple of cops tazed an escaped lion or tiger and they barely lived to tell about it

I saw a back bear get zapped by some electrical lines and it just seemed to daze it a bit

I would imagine tazing it would p**s it off

Well, squirels, some birds, and maybe even if you put a ground blind and a feeder out a year or so before you go hunting you may be able to get close enough for deer, and boar. But the realy question is will it kill the animal? Well with the birds and squirrel yea, but for the boar and deer are you carrying a knife to get it with while it is down?

You are obviously not a hunter. Hunters practice their shots so that the animal is taken as humanely as possible. Your question is just disturbing and wrong.

No, all a taser would do is stun it anyway, and that dosnt count as hunting, it counts as animal abuse.

hahaha the first one was funny, you must be really bored to ask this question. you wont make it pass out youll just startle it like getting zapped by an electric fence, but if you had the projectile tazers like the police force carry you can be about 30 ft away to tazer something.

Probably not but why would you want to do that  ??  If your looking for a challenge try bow hunting or hand gun hunting .
