He has not cussed at anyone or Vandalized anything. He just gets finished with his work early and starts talking in class.

  1. I think she can only recommend it.

What does he say when he starts talking?  I think he would have to say something pretty disturbing for the teacher to even think about a psychiatrist.

  2. Is this a school employee?? If so they can be seen up to 3 times without parent consent. After that permission has to be granted.

  3. Not legally. Not yet.

  4. A teacher doesn't have that kind of authority. A teacher could request that a student see a school counselor but even then the parents would have to be notified and give their consent. If a child appears to have issues with violence or signs of abuse in the home etc. a teacher can notify school officials who would then notify the proper law enforcement and child welfare agencies. To answer your question, no a teacher can't force a student to see a psychiatrist, only suggest it.

  5. Well if the teacher believes that he is talking to recieve attention,(that maybe she believes he is not getting at home) maybe he is making up stories or something, but legally she cannot send him with out consent of the parents

but sending him to a psychiatrist can't hurt anything unless you have something to hide lol

  6. So the teacher wants him to see a psychiatrist because he talks in class?

Either the teacher is insane herself, or you are not telling us the whole story.

  7. I don't think that children can be sent to the care of ANY doctor without the consent of the parent.

  8. a teacher cannot legally send your child without your consent

  9. well i'm a psychiatrist  and i see no reason for him to see one, he's only talking not being abusive!!! and no a teacher must have a good reason for sending a child for to see a psyhiatrist,(this is not one), and must have parent consent!!

    theres no need to worry!!
