  1. Not without there consent. And if young enough the consent of the student's parents.

  2. There is not enough information.  But it is not illegal for a teacher to take a picture of a student.   Or have it on a cell phone.  It's not even necessarily strange.  The question is more about the reason behind it and if the picture is used without the persons consent.  This could be innocent, it could be flattering.  It could just be cool.  Depends on the teacher and the relationship he or she has with the students.  In some cases it is just creepy.  That is when you contact a parent or school official.

  3. There are thousands of picture  in this world, why  would a teacher  must use a student picture on their phones or even  for personal use.  Regardless of  the reason, no  teacher of sound mind   would do that.

  4. Why? Did she take a pic of you doing something wrong?

  5. Not really

  6. uumm....well other people might think this is awkward....but as a teacher you do get attached to the little students! maybe a camera itself would be better...and whatever you do, don't post them on the internet! you can get into trouble there!

  7. No - YOUR TEACHER IS A PEDO [PHILE]

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! LOL

    WATCH OUT

A GREAT BIG PEDOPHILE IS ABOUT! haha

  8. im not quite sure...but i dont think its allowed....especially if its a young child....u can if the parents say u can, cuz i dont think a student's "yes/ok" gives u rights to take a pic of them with ur phone....in my old highschool, we have a daycare center...and it was used as a daycare but also a "class" for students who applied for "childcare class"....basically the students were like caregivers for the children but there was still an adult to watch and care for everything....but one of the "class assignments" were to make a "yearbook" for the little ones and the highschoolers had to take pictures of the little ones playing and whatnot (using a camera not phone)...with the parents consent....but obviously the HS students and little ones got attached real fast...and one of the big kids heard a little one singing a song....so she took out her phone and recorded the little one singing....when the "teacher" found out she told her to delete it because it isnt allowed and that we are only allowed (by the parents)to take pictures..nothing else....so she had to delete it...but the students did take pics of the little one....although the high schoolers arent "teachers", i still dont think teachers are allowed....

now i dont know if its a law or not but i just wouldnt want to risk my teaching license because of it....maybe if the parents allowed/gave u a real picture of the student/their child, then yea you can have it and hang it up in ur home office or something....but i just dont think its ok to do it without the parents permission

  9. Would you freak out if your mom took a picture of you with her phone?  It's about the same thing.  I'm so tired of these comments about teachers.  Teachers love their students...if they didn't, they wouldn't have their jobs.  Teachers are certainly not in it for the money...on of my student's mother works at Winn Dixie and makes more than me!!!
