Can a teen ship things in the mail?

I have a friend in california, who I want to mail a DVD to. (Its not a copy, it an actual DVD i bought at a store) I am 15, I was wondering if a the post office lets 15 years old mail stuff in the mail besides like letters.

Yes, all you actually need to do it just one of those big brown envelopes put it in there with two stamps (Just in case) and just send it through the mail like a letter.
