  1. Since you only have temporary permission to work, you remain "ordinarily resident" in your country of citizenship.  You might live temporarily in Ohio but you are not a legal resident or legal permanent resident under immigration law.  

    And contrary to one person's comment, you cannot go to school.  If you apply to for college, etc. you must get a student visa, and to get that you must return home to apply.


  2. EAD abbreviation of Employment Authorization Document is not a visa, but temporary working permit. It only allows you to work legally in US. It doesn't allow you for immigration status.

  3. sure, you can be a resident of any state that you live in... an EAD allows you to work, live, go to school, and travel anywhere in the U.S.
