Well a thesis statement is usually just onw sentence but

i dont think it matters if its more than one as long as its not tomany sentences.

Yes it can be more than one, although it may be seen as less precise if it is.  Depending on the level of school you are in- teachers have different ideas.  Check MLA Handbook
