Great question. When my bestfriend who was babysitting my son (13 months) he decided to do the dishes with him. when i got home my kitchen was wet and the dishes were done. he had told me that Zane had eaten some of the bubbles from the soap. It did not do anything to him. my friend is 22 and really responsible "most" of the time. Also when my sister was little she used to use dawn dish soap to brush her teeth she thought it was great. My kids 7,5 and 4 have issues eating the bubble bubbles. it doesnt hurt them. maybe a tummy ache but thats the most. dont let them guzzle the soap or bubbles tho. it can cause diariah and other problems.

He/she may get a tummy ache if they ate to much, but usually a few mouth full of bubbles will not cause any harm.. and if you havent noticed any stomach ache within 15 min they will probably be clear of that as well.  I remember eating bubbles all the time when i was a kid.. dunno why but it was fun lol.   I often find my son drinking the soapy yucky bath water from the cup we use to rinse his hair out.. gross!  But he has never gotten sick.  If the child is drinking a bottle of shampoo or eating the bar of soap, that would be different but a little bit of bubbles wont harm him.

not from the suds, but yes from the actual liquid. take it from a soap bubble eater (as a child), i never got sick from it and had no kind of side effects or anything. so don't worry

I've heard eating soap will cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. I don't think there's enough chemicals in a few bubbles.

what kind of soap? the kind for blowing bubbles? no. dishwasher soap? maybe. ask you doctor. not some random strangers.
