  1. Movie extras usually do not receive payment.  If you are not being paid, then there is no problem.

Once I was in LA and some filming crew came up to us and asked if we wanted to appear as extras in a film they were shooting in a nearby park.  It's very informal.

  2. not certain...but..if you receive any money for it then I would think it would be illegal.  volunteering would not be a problem...but paid might be because the law would probably say that an american can do that job.  Tourists are here for vacations only and so....no work...  Just my opinion

  3. If it is an extra part that is not paid then it is OK.  Such as when they put out a casting call for people to show up at a baseball stadium to be the crowd.  It is not OK if it is a paid extra part, such as one's handed out through an agency.

You also can not volunteer to work for free for a part that would normally be paid.  Not only would this still be seen as taking a job from an American the movie would probably run afoul of SAG rules.  Paid parts in movies are very regulated by SAG contract (day rates) and they do not like anyone waiving those negotiated fees.

  4. it's illegal

  5. i dont see y not but idk

  6. only for cash
