Can a towing company in California charge an storage fee for a day they were closed?

Baldwin's Towing towed my car at around 11 p.m. on a Saturday and were closed on Sunday. When i picked it up on Monday, they charged me for 3 days of storage (150 extra!) Can they do that?

    and gave it shelter.
