  1. I have two friends that ride with them on mountain bikes with no trouble at all.  One is on a Voodoo hardtail and the other is on a Specialized Epic full suspension.  They love taking their kids out on the trails, and the kids love riding with them.

There really isn't any appreciable waste of energy with the full suspension....you shouldn't be riding fast enough to notice it anyway, for the child's safety.  The friend with the Epic also hooked it up to a Giant NRS briefly and said it was still fine (the Epic has a decent platform Brain shock, while the NRS is notoriously bouncy and soft while riding).   The important thing is to start and stop gradually, and to remember not to sway the bike side to side quickly....they don't have any control over that in the rear and can get shaken off accidentally if they aren't ready for it.  Also, keep in mind the turning radius is larger.

Cool things!  Kids seem to love them as long as their old enough to participate, and strong enough to hang on and keep their feet on the pedals.    :o)

  2. It should work with any bike that has a seat post. Since mountain bikes have seat posts... YES!

  3. It should be usable with any bike. However, I would recommend AGAINST using one with a full suspension model. They are just too wasteful of energy.
