One of my daughters frogs died while eating. He was found streatched out on the bottom of the cage. Is it possible for him to have over eaten, or possibly choked on a cricket? He seemed fine and was eating when we left the room. When we returned 2 hrs later, he was dead. What could have happened?

  1. there are loads of reasons a frog might die from incorrect temperatures or humidity to infection or impaction. bacteria parasites. if u really want to know take it to a reptile and amphibian vet and ask for a post mortem. frogs chocking is possible but the food item would have to have been pretty large but "over eating" is almost unheard of

  2. Yes he could of chocked.  Poor Mr. Frog...
