  1. Where I live in Canada it's 70hr/7 day, with a max working day of 14 hrs. unless you are classed as an emergency worker such as snowplow/salt truck operator then the rules go out the window and it is up to the operator to tell the dispatcher/supervisor that he/she is tired and need relief. a log book still has to be kept in any event though.

  2. yes , but not doing dishes or yard work

  3. Yes. You can do anything but drive. If you are still doing compensated work for the company, or uncompensated such as a physical or dealing with an accident, you must log it as Line 4, On Duty Not Driving. This time will continue to accrue onto your total hours until you take off duty or sleeper berth time. You will have to take off sufficient time to get hours back or get a restart after 34.

  4. The rule is 60 hours in 7 days (or 70 hours in 8 days).  It doesn't matter if you're driving or working/not driving, you can only LOG 60 total hours...  Of course, if you don't log the extra hours...

  5. I dont see why not as long as he or she is physically able to drive when it is time...................

  6. actually it dosent matter what company you work for if you are a driver any work you preform other than driving is supposed to be logged as on duty not driving
