What is the actual "definition" of a documentary? Must it provide an objective view on all points of an argument or can it have a slant of its own to make a new argument? What is the line between a documentary and propaganda?

  1. the usually documentary is slanted because those that produce and make it have special interests.  pbs is the worst.

  2. The person making the film is selecting facts to support thier beliefs.

  3. Most of them are. A documentary is usually made to tell a true story, or to give personal views. It is definitely not required that the views are objective. That is why so many are controversial. Fahrenheit 911, for example.
