Can a tv show recorded on a dvd+r be played on any dvd player?

I want to send a dvd+r disc to my friend in the US, but I'm not sure if it will play on a region 1 dvd player as it was copied from a region 2 hard drive. Can anyone explain how this all works?

Hard to say - your friend could have NTSC only compatible TV set, so could be problems. Learn about your DVD discs regions using DVD Fab HD Decrypter

Click sun micro button near "?" symbol - you will learn about your disc region - if 1 in list - ok
