Well I changed my DL_Cats virus thing into a .TXT file and opened it and it shows codes to override my PC and how to override the malicious content. Do I have a virus from opening it as a txt file?

  1. Windows has a tendency to hide file extensions, so make sure it is .txt and not .txt.exe, and it should be safe.

  2. No,as long as it's .txt you're safe.

Don't change the extention to anything, though, especially not .bat

  3. You are safe. if you chage it's extension to .exe you will be in danger.
