Can a ultrabright laptop screen damage your eyes burn your eyes or affect your vision?

  1. No......it's a myth that tv or computers will effect vision.  I've been using the Ultra bright screens for about 4 years and my sight didn't change at all.  The only things bright electronics will give you is eye strain, which isn't serious...just a headache.  :)


  2. An ULTRA-bright screen may result in glare. Glare may in-turn affect your vision i.e. after-images.

    Suggestion: Adjust the brightness/ contrast control or tilt the screen.

    A laptop or computer screen does not emit harmful radiations i.e. Gamma rays, X-rays, UV rays. The only radiation emitted is Infra-Red, which is essentially heat!

    The amount of heat will not be able to burn your eyes. (Your eyelashes/ eyebrows will go up in flames first before you will an eye burnt!). In fact, the heat sensors on your skin will probably tell you to move to an air-con room.

  3. No it can't damage your eyes, but if you work on a computer for several hours without any breaks you may get eyestrain.
