Can a wakeboard be used as a kiteboard?

I know someone who would give me a wakeboard for a good price, can I use it for kiteboarding too?

yes but make sure the wakeboard is not too heavy. I kited on a wakeboard one time. the board was heavy like a rock and it was no fun compared to my kiteboard.
