Can a walking stick kill my cat?

Question

Okay, I woke up this morning and there are 2 stick insects near my front door. My cat is rolling crazily next to them. One was little, about 1 inch long and one was huge, like 4 inches. Even after I killed them and disposed of them my cat was rolling around that area and clawing me when I went near her. She's normally a very sweet cat, she seems to be going crazy! Is she okay?

Check her fur.  There may be insects on her driving her crazy.
