My husband put a gas can for our lawn mower in the garage and I noticed that the smell gas gotten increasingly strong over the course of the day. I just checked and the outside of the container is wet. Our washer and dryer is in there and I was wondering if running them could spark the vapors. Obviously I am not going to. I just was curious.

  1. Yes, it could. If the garage is closed in and the vapors stay trapped, the washer or dryer, if running, could ignite the gas vapors and start a fire. The fuel can should be placed in a flammable locker or stored in a shed that doesn't have electricity going to it.
