  1. haha NO!

    Other than the compressor oil getting in the lines and it will never work or if it does work it can't cool the compressor and will burn out:

    Where do you think the water it produces will go if you turn the pan that is supposed to hold the water to vertical by putting it on the side?  


  2. A window A/C is a small refrigerant system, so imagine putting your refrigerator on it's side and expecting it to keep things cold.    It can be turned on it's side for a short period of time, but it must be in an upright position for a while before being turned on and must remain in that position while running.  

  3. no  the oil for the compressor will not lubricate it meaning one new ac for you  

  4. IF THE COMPRESSOR IS UPRIGHT ON ITS SIDE

    KINDA DOUBT THAT...

    IT WILL BURN THE COMPRESSOR UP.
