  1. Yes, for example: presently the Ambassador to the Philippines of the United States is a woman.

  2. There are thousands of women in the diplomatic corpse of western countries throughout the western world.

Sadly Australia lost two our best and brightest women diplomats in Indonesia about 12 months ago when one of of their Airlines failed badly. About two thirds of the passengers on board were killed. That included two Australian women diplomats. It was heartbreaking for us.

One left behind four children of school age and a husband. The other left behind a husband and baby girl that was only nine months old. However, and despite the difficulties of being a diplomat in a foreign country our diplomats are dedicated to serving Australia and they soldier on. We are very proud of them.

Generally being a diplomat is a very rewarding career and a chance to serve your country and showcase it to the world.

    Bella Rose!!!

  3. I do not see why not.**

  4. Sure, there's quite a few. The US's chief diplomat is presently a woman.

Condoleezza Rice, and Madeleine Albright are two famous female diplomats, both US Secretaries of State.

  5. Yes a woman can be a diplomat.  Shirley Temple was an ambassador and diplomat.  If you don't know who Shirley Temple is she was a very famous child actress in the 1930's.
