Can a woman get jock itch?

I had this crazy itching rash for a long time and tried all kinds of things to get rid of it. None of it worked. Then low and behold one day my husband said that it could be jock itch. As a matter of fact he told me he was sure. So, i bought the cream for it and it worked... the stupid stuff worked! It was gone pretty fast. Now, i would of never thought that it could of been that because I thought it was only men who got Jock itch. Can a woman get Jock itch?

Yes, jock itch is the lay term for a fungal infection.  Anyone can get it, just like athlete's foot or an oral yeast infection.

Yes, it is called yeast infection.  Sort of like having an innie or an outie (belly button), Men get it on the outside because they are not open down there and women get it on the inside because they are.  Anyways this is how my OB explained it to me.
